एतेषामपि वंशांश्च वंशानुचरितानि च । उपर्यधश्च ये लोका भूमेर्मित्रात्मजासते ।। ३-७-२६ ।।

sanskrit

O Maitreya, describe his clan and the characters of the clans, the entire creation and the upper and lower worlds. O son of Mitrā, kindly describe how the planets are situated above the earth as well as underneath it, ।। 3-7-26 ।।

english translation

हे मैत्रेयतजी इन के बंश तथा बंशों के चरित्र, सारी रचना तथा ऊपरनीचे के लोकों का वर्णन किजिए । हे मित्रा के पुत्र, कृपा करके इस बात का वर्णन करें कि किस तरह पृथ्वी के ऊपर के तथा उसके नीचे के लोक स्थित हैं ।। ३-७-२६ ।।
