आत्यन्तिकेन सत्त्वेन दिवं देवाः प्रपेदिरे । धरां रजः स्वभावेन पणयो ये च ताननु ॥ ३-६-२८ ॥
The demigods, qualified by the superexcellent quality of the mode of goodness, are situated in the heavenly planets, whereas the human beings, because of their nature in the mode of passion, live on the earth in company with their subordinates. ॥ 3-6-28 ॥
english translation
देवतागण, अति उत्तम गुण, सतोगुण के द्वारा योग्य बनकर, स्वर्गलोक में अवस्थित रहते हैं, जबकि मनुष्य अपने रजोगुणी स्वभाव के कारण अपने अधीनस्थों की संगति में पृथ्वी पर रहते हैं। ॥ ३-६-२८ ॥
