परच्छन्दं न विदुषा पुष्यमाणो जनेन सः । अनभिप्रेतमापन्नः प्रत्याख्यातुमनीश्वरः ॥ ३-३१-२५ ॥
After coming out of the abdomen, the child is given to the care of persons who are unable to understand what he wants, and thus he is nursed by such persons. Unable to refuse whatever is given to him, he falls into undesirable circumstances. ॥ 3-31-25 ॥

उदर से निकलने के बाद शिशु ऐसे लोगों की देख-रेख में आ जाता है और उसका पालन ऐसे लोगों द्वारा होता रहता है, जो यह नहीं समझ पाते कि वह चाहता क्या है। उसे जो कुछ मिलता है उसे वह इनकार न कर सकने के कारण वह अवांछित परिस्थिति में आ पड़ता है। ॥ ३-३१-२५ ॥
