आरभ्य सप्तमान्मासाल्लब्धबोधोऽपि वेपितः । नैकत्रास्ते सूतिवातैर्विष्ठाभूरिव सोदरः ॥ ३-३१-१० ॥
Thus endowed with the development of consciousness from the seventh month after his conception, the child is tossed downward by the airs that press the embryo during the weeks preceding delivery. Like the worms born of the same filthy abdominal cavity, he cannot remain in one place. ॥ 3-31-10 ॥

इस प्रकार गर्भाधान के पश्चात् सातवें मास से चेतना विकसित होने पर यह शिशु उन हवाओं के द्वारा चलायमान रहता है, जो भ्रूण को प्रसव के कुछ सप्ताह पूर्व से दबाती रहती हैं। वह उसी पेट की गन्दगी से उत्पन्न कीड़ों के समान एक स्थान में नहीं रह सकता। ॥ ३-३१-१० ॥
