तत्राहृतास्ता नरदेवकन्याः कुजेन दृष्ट्वा हरिमार्तबन्धुम् । उत्थाय सद्यो जगृहुः प्रहर्षव्रीडानुरागप्रहितावलोकैः ॥ ३-३-७ ॥
There in the house of the demon, all the princesses kidnapped by Narakāsura at once became alert upon seeing the Lord, the friend of the distressed. They looked upon Him with eagerness, joy and shyness and offered to be His wives. ॥ 3-3-7 ॥
english translation
उस असुर के घर में नरकासुर द्वारा हरण की गई सारी राजकुमारियाँ दुखियारों के मित्र भगवान् को देखते ही चौकन्नी हो उठीं। उन्होंने अतीव उत्सुकता, हर्ष तथा लज्जा से भगवान की ओर देखा और अपने को उनकी पत्नियों के रूप में अर्पित कर दिया। ॥ ३-३-७ ॥
