एतद्भगवतो रूपं ब्रह्मणः परमात्मनः । परं प्रधानं पुरुषं दैवं कर्मविचेष्टितम् ॥ ३-२९-३६ ॥
This puruṣa whom the individual soul must approach is the eternal form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is known as Brahman and Paramātmā. He is the transcendental chief personality, and His activities are all spiritual. ॥ 3-29-36 ॥
english translation
वह पुरुष जिस तक प्रत्येक जीव को पहुँचना है, उस भगवान् का शाश्वत रूप है, जो ब्रह्म तथा परमात्मा कहलाता है। वह प्रधान दिव्य पुरुष है और उसके कार्यकलाप अध्यात्मिक हैं। ॥ ३-२९-३६ ॥

रूपभेदास्पदं दिव्यं काल इत्यभिधीयते । भूतानां महदादीनां यतो भिन्नदृशां भयम् ॥ ३-२९-३७ ॥
The time factor, who causes the transformation of the various material manifestations, is another feature of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Anyone who does not know that time is the same Supreme Personality is afraid of the time factor. ॥ 3-29-37 ॥

विभिन्न भौतिक रूपान्तरों को उत्पन्न करने वाला काल भगवान् का ही एक अन्य स्वरूप है। जो व्यक्ति यह नहीं जानता कि काल तथा भगवान् एक ही हैं वह काल से भयभीत रहता है। ॥ ३-२९-३७ ॥

योऽन्तःप्रविश्य भूतानि भूतैरत्त्यखिलाश्रयः । स विष्ण्वाख्योऽधियज्ञोऽसौ कालः कलयतां प्रभुः ॥ ३-२९-३८ ॥
Lord Viṣṇu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the enjoyer of all sacrifices, is the time factor and the master of all masters. He enters everyone’s heart, He is the support of everyone, and He causes every being to be annihilated by another. ॥ 3-29-38 ॥
english translation
समस्त यज्ञों के भोक्ता भगवान् विष्णु कालस्वरूप हैं तथा समस्त स्वामियों के स्वामी हैं । वे प्रत्येक के हृदय में प्रविष्ट करने वाले हैं, वे सबके आश्रय हैं और प्रत्येक जीव का दूसरे जीव के द्वारा संहार कराने का कारण हैं। ॥ ३-२९-३८ ॥

न चास्य कश्चिद्दयितो न द्वेष्यो न च बान्धवः । आविशत्यप्रमत्तोऽसौ प्रमत्तं जनमन्तकृत् ॥ ३-२९-३९ ॥
No one is dear to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, nor is anyone His enemy or friend. But He gives inspiration to those who have not forgotten Him and destroys those who have. ॥ 3-29-39 ॥
english translation
भगवान् का न तो कोई प्रिय है, न ही कोई शत्रु या मित्र है। किन्तु जो उन्हें भूले नहीं हैं, उन्हें वे प्रेरणा प्रदान करते हैं और जो उन्हें भूल चुके हैं उनका क्षय करते हैं। ॥ ३-२९-३९ ॥

यद्भयाद्वाति वातोऽयं सूर्यस्तपति यद्भयात् । यद्भयाद्वर्षते देवो भगणो भाति यद्भयात् ॥ ३-२९-४० ॥
Out of fear of the Supreme Personality of Godhead the wind blows, out of fear of Him the sun shines, out of fear of Him the rain pours forth showers, and out of fear of Him the host of heavenly bodies shed their luster. ॥ 3-29-40 ॥
english translation
भगवान् के ही भय से वायु बहती है, उन्हीं के भय से सूर्य चमकता है, वर्षा का देवता पानी बरसाता है और उन्हीं के भय से नक्षत्रों का समूह चमकता है। ॥ ३-२९-४० ॥
