परस्य दृश्यते धर्मो ह्यपरस्मिन् समन्वयात् । अतो विशेषो भावानां भूमावेवोपलक्ष्यते ।। ३-२६-४९ ।।

Since the cause exists in its effect as well, the characteristics of the former are observed in the latter. That is why the peculiarities of all the elements exist in the earth alone. ।। 3-26-49 ।।

english translation

चूँकि कारण अपने कार्य में भी विद्यमान रहता है, अत: पहले के लक्षण (गुण) दूसरे में भी देखे जाते हैं। इसीलिए केवल पृथ्वी में ही सारे तत्त्वों की विशिष्टताएँ पाई जाती हैं। ।। ३-२६-४९ ।।
