अवादयंस्तदा व्योम्नि वादित्राणि घनाघनाः । गायन्ति तं स्म गन्धर्वा नृत्यन्त्यप्सरसो मुदा ।। ३-२४-७ ।।

sanskrit

At the time of His descent on earth, demigods in the form of raining clouds sounded musical instruments in the sky. The celestial musicians, the Gandharvas, sang the glories of the Lord, while celestial dancing girls known as Apsarās danced in joyful ecstasy. ।। 3-24-7 ।।

english translation

पृथ्वी पर उनके अवतरित होते समय, आकाश में देवताओं ने वाद्ययंत्रों के रूप में जल बरसाने वाले मेघों से वाद्यसंगीत की सी ध्वनियाँ बजायी। स्वर्गिक गवैये गंधर्वगण भगवान् की महिमा का गान करने लगे और अप्सराओं के नाम से प्रसिद्ध स्वर्गिक नर्तकियाँ आनन्द विभोर होकर नाचने लगीं। ।। ३-२४-७ ।।
