Srimad Bhagavatam
आत्मजामसितापाङ्गीं वयःशीलगुणान्विताम् । मृगयन्तीं पतिं दास्यत्यनुरूपाय ते प्रभो ॥ ३-२१-२७ ॥
He has a grown-up daughter whose eyes are black. She is ready for marriage, and she has good character and all good qualities. She is also searching for a good husband. My dear sir, her parents will come to see you, who are exactly suitable for her, just to deliver their daughter as your wife. ॥ 3-21-27 ॥
english translation
उनके एक श्याम नेत्रों वाली तरुणी कन्या है। वह विवाह के योग्य है, वह उत्तम आचरण वाली तथा सर्व गुणसम्पन्न है। वह भी अच्छे पति की तलाश में है। महाशय, उसके माता-पिता तुम्हें देखने आएँगे। तुम उसके सर्वथा अनुरूप हो जिससे वे अपनी कन्या को तुम्हारी पत्नी के रूप में अर्पित कर देंगे। ॥ ३-२१-२७ ॥
