तरन्ति ह्यञ्जसा मृत्युं निवृत्ता यदनुग्रहात् । योगिनः स भवान् किं स्विदनुगृह्येत यत्परैः ॥ ३-१६-१९ ॥
Mystics and transcendentalists, by the mercy of the Lord, cross beyond nescience by ceasing all material desires. It is not possible, therefore, that the Supreme Lord can be favored by others. ॥ 3-16-19 ॥

भगवान् की कृपा से योगीजन तथा अध्यात्मवादी समस्त भौतिक इच्छाओं को छोडक़र अज्ञान को पार कर जाते हैं। इसलिए यह सम्भव नहीं कि कोई परमेश्वर पर अनुग्रह कर सके। ॥ ३-१६-१९ ॥
