सात्त्विकः कारकोऽसङ्गी रागान्धो राजसः स्मृतः । तामसः स्मृतिविभ्रष्टो निर्गुणो मदपाश्रयः ।। ११-२५-२६ ।।

sanskrit

A worker free of attachment is in the mode of goodness, a worker blinded by personal desire is in the mode of passion, and a worker who has completely forgotten how to tell right from wrong is in the mode of ignorance. But a worker who has taken shelter of Me is understood to be transcendental to the modes of nature. ।। 11-25-26 ।।

english translation

आसक्ति से मुक्त कार्यकर्ता सतोगुण में है, व्यक्तिगत इच्छा से अंधा कार्यकर्ता रजोगुण में है, और जो कार्यकर्ता सही और गलत में फर्क करना पूरी तरह से भूल गया है वह तमोगुण में है। परंतु जिस कार्यकर्ता ने मेरी शरण ली है, वह प्रकृति के गुणों से परे समझा जाता है। ।। ११-२५-२६ ।।

Faith directed toward spiritual life is in the mode of goodness, faith rooted in fruitive work is in the mode of passion, faith residing in irreligious activities is in the mode of ignorance, but faith in My devotional service is purely transcendental. ।। 11-25-27 ।।

आध्यात्मिक जीवन की ओर निर्देशित आस्था सत्वगुण में है, सकाम कर्म में निहित विश्वास रजोगुण में है, अधार्मिक गतिविधियों में रहने वाला विश्वास अज्ञानता में है, लेकिन मेरी भक्ति सेवा में विश्वास पूरी तरह से दिव्य है। ।। ११-२५-२७ ।।

Food that is wholesome, pure and obtained without difficulty is in the mode of goodness, food that gives immediate pleasure to the senses is in the mode of passion, and food that is unclean and causes distress is in the mode of ignorance. ।। 11-25-28 ।।

जो भोजन पौष्टिक, शुद्ध और बिना किसी कठिनाई के प्राप्त किया जाता है वह सात्विक गुणों वाला होता है, जो भोजन इंद्रियों को तत्काल आनंद देता है वह रजोगुण वाला होता है, और जो भोजन अशुद्ध होता है और कष्ट का कारण बनता है वह तमोगुणी होता है। ।। ११-२५-२८ ।।

Happiness derived from the self is in the mode of goodness, happiness based on sense gratification is in the mode of passion, and happiness based on delusion and degradation is in the mode of ignorance. But that happiness found within Me is transcendental. ।। 11-25-29 ।।

स्वयं से प्राप्त सुख सतोगुण में है, इन्द्रियतृप्ति पर आधारित सुख रजोगुण में है, और भ्रम तथा पतन पर आधारित सुख तमोगुण में है। लेकिन मेरे भीतर पाई जाने वाली ख़ुशी अलौकिक है। ।। ११-२५-२९ ।।

Therefore material substance, place, result of activity, time, knowledge, work, the performer of work, faith, state of consciousness, species of life and destination after death are all based on the three modes of material nature. ।। 11-25-30 ।।

इसलिए भौतिक पदार्थ, स्थान, गतिविधि का परिणाम, समय, ज्ञान, कार्य, कार्य करने वाला, विश्वास, चेतना की स्थिति, जीवन की प्रजाति और मृत्यु के बाद गंतव्य सभी भौतिक प्रकृति के तीन गुणों पर आधारित हैं। ।। ११-२५-३० ।।
