    राजविद्या राजगुह्यं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् । प्रत्यक्षावगमं धर्म्यं सुसुखं कर्तुमव्ययम् ॥ ९-२॥rAjavidyA rAjaguhyaM pavitramidamuttamam । pratyakSAvagamaM dharmyaM susukhaM kartumavyayam ॥ 9-2॥This is the Sovereign Knowledge, the Sovereign Profundity, the supreme purifier ; directly realizable, righteous, very easy to practice and imperishable.

    मत्तः परतरं नान्यत्किञ्चिदस्ति धनञ्जय । मयि सर्वमिदं प्रोतं सूत्रे मणिगणा इव ॥ ७-७॥mattaH parataraM nAnyatkiJcidasti dhanaJjaya । mayi sarvamidaM protaM sUtre maNigaNA iva ॥ 7-7॥O Dhananjaya, there is nothing else whatsoever higher than Myself. All this is strung on Me like clusters of gems on a string.

Therefore, O Arjuna, be you steadfast in yoga at all times.

    अपरेयमितस्त्वन्यां प्रकृतिं विद्धि मे पराम् । जीवभूतां महाबाहो ययेदं धार्यते जगत् ॥ ७-५ ॥apareyamitastvanyAM prakRtiM viddhi me parAm । jIvabhUtAM mahAbAho yayedaM dhAryate jagat ॥ 7-5 ॥This is My lower Prakrti (nature). But, O mighty-armed One, know that My higher nature is another. It is the life-element (Jiva-bhuta), by which this universe is sustained.

    भूमिरापोऽनलो वायुः खं मनो बुद्धिरेव च । अहङ्कार इतीयं मे भिन्ना प्रकृतिरष्टधा ॥ ७-४॥bhUmirApo'nalo vAyuH khaM mano buddhireva ca । ahaGkAra itIyaM me bhinnA prakRtiraSTadhA ॥ 7-4॥This Nature (Prakrti) of Mine is divided eight-fold thus: earth, water, fire, air, space, mind (Manas), intellect (Buddhi) and also egoism.

    अग्निर्ज्योतिरहः शुक्लः षण्मासा उत्तरायणम् । तत्र प्रयाता गच्छन्ति ब्रह्म ब्रह्मविदो जनाः ॥ ८-२४॥agnirjyotirahaH zuklaH SaNmAsA uttarAyaNam । tatra prayAtA gacchanti brahma brahmavido janAH ॥ 8-24॥Fire, light, daytime, the birght forrnight (Shukla Paksh ), the six months of the Northern solstice (uttarayan) -by following this Path, persons who are knowers of Bramh attain Bramh when they die.

    मनुष्याणां सहस्रेषु कश्चिद्यतति सिद्धये । यततामपि सिद्धानां कश्चिन्मां वेत्ति तत्त्वतः ॥ ७-३ ॥manuSyANAM sahasreSu kazcidyatati siddhaye । yatatAmapi siddhAnAM kazcinmAM vetti tattvataH ॥ 7-3 ॥Among thousands of men, someone strives for perfection; even among those who strive for perfection, someone only knows Me; and among those who know Me, someone only knows Me in reality.
