    जरामरणमोक्षाय मामाश्रित्य यतन्ति ये । ते ब्रह्म तद्विदुः कृत्स्नमध्यात्मं कर्म चाखिलम् ॥ ७-२९॥jarAmaraNamokSAya mAmAzritya yatanti ye । te brahma tadviduH kRtsnamadhyAtmaM karma cAkhilam ॥ 7-29॥Those who take refuge in Me and strive for deliverance from old age and death, know Bramh (or the self) all about the nature of that self, and the entire Karma (or activities leading to rebirth).

    येषां त्वन्तगतं पापं जनानां पुण्यकर्मणाम् । ते द्वन्द्वमोहनिर्मुक्ता भजन्ते मां दृढव्रताः ॥ ७-२८॥yeSAM tvantagataM pApaM janAnAM puNyakarmaNAm । te dvandvamohanirmuktA bhajante mAM dRDhavratAH ॥ 7-28॥But the doers of good deeds, whose sins have come to an end, are freed from the delusion of the pairs of opposites. They worship Me, steadfast in their vows.

    क्षिप्रं भवति धर्मात्मा शश्वच्छान्तिं निगच्छति । कौन्तेय प्रतिजानीहि न मे भक्तः प्रणश्यति ॥ ९-३१॥kSipraM bhavati dharmAtmA zazvacchAntiM nigacchati । kaunteya pratijAnIhi na me bhaktaH praNazyati ॥ 9-31॥O Kaunteya, quickly he becomes righteous and obtains everlasting peace. Affirm on My behalf, My devotee never perishes.

    इच्छाद्वेषसमुत्थेन द्वन्द्वमोहेन भारत । सर्वभूतानि सम्मोहं सर्गे यान्ति परन्तप ॥ ७-२७॥vedAhaM samatItAni vartamAnAni cArjuna । bhaviSyANi ca bhUtAni mAM tu veda na kazcana ॥ 7-26॥O scion of the Bharata dynasty, O destroyer of foes, due to the delusion of duality arising from desire and aversion, all creatures become bewildered at the time of their birth.

    वेदाहं समतीतानि वर्तमानानि चार्जुन । भविष्याणि च भूतानि मां तु वेद न कश्चन ॥ ७-२६॥vedAhaM samatItAni vartamAnAni cArjuna । bhaviSyANi ca bhUtAni mAM tu veda na kazcana ॥ 7-26॥O Arjuna, I know the past and the present as also the future beings; but no one knows Me!

Having your mind imbued with the yoga of renunciation and becoming free, you will attain Me.

    नाहं प्रकाशः सर्वस्य योगमायासमावृतः । मूढोऽयं नाभिजानाति लोको मामजमव्ययम् ॥ ७-२५॥nAhaM prakAzaH sarvasya yogamAyAsamAvRtaH । mUDho'yaM nAbhijAnAti loko mAmajamavyayam ॥ 7-25॥Veiled by My Yoga-Maya, I am not manifest to all. This deluded world does not recognize Me as the unborn and immutable.

    अव्यक्तं व्यक्तिमापन्नं मन्यन्ते मामबुद्धयः । परं भावमजानन्तो ममाव्ययमनुत्तमम् ॥ ७-२४॥avyaktaM vyaktimApannaM manyante mAmabuddhayaH । paraM bhAvamajAnanto mamAvyayamanuttamam ॥ 7-24॥The foolish think of Me, the Unmanifest, as having manifestation, knowing not My higher, immutable and most excellent nature.

    यान्ति देवव्रता देवान्पितॄन्यान्ति पितृव्रताः । भूतानि यान्ति भूतेज्या यान्ति मद्याजिनोऽपि माम् ॥ ९-२५॥yAnti devavratA devAnpitRRnyAnti pitRvratAH । bhUtAni yAnti bhUtejyA yAnti madyAjino'pi mAm ॥ 9-25॥Devotees of gods go to the gods. The manes-worshippers go to the manes. The worshippers of Bhutas go to the Bhutas. And those who worship Me come to Me.

    अन्तवत्तु फलं तेषां तद्भवत्यल्पमेधसाम् । देवान्देवयजो यान्ति मद्भक्ता यान्ति मामपि ॥ ७-२३॥antavattu phalaM teSAM tadbhavatyalpamedhasAm । devAndevayajo yAnti madbhaktA yAnti mAmapi ॥ 7-23॥But limited is the fruit gained by these men of small understanding. The worshippers of the gods will go to the gods but My devotees will come to Me.
