    ज्ञानं तेऽहं सविज्ञानमिदं वक्ष्याम्यशेषतः । यज्ज्ञात्वा नेह भूयोऽन्यज्ज्ञातव्यमवशिष्यते ॥ ७-२ ॥jJAnaM te'haM savijJAnamidaM vakSyAmyazeSataH । yajjJAtvA neha bhUyo'nyajjJAtavyamavaziSyate ॥ 7-2 ॥I will declare to you in full, this knowledge (of God) along with the knowledge which makes it distinguished (Vigyan or science), knowing which nothing else remains to be known.

That is Param॥ ad supreme॥ Abode, reaching which they do not return.

    अधश्चोर्ध्वं प्रसृतास्तस्य शाखा गुणप्रवृद्धा विषयप्रवालाः । अधश्च मूलान्यनुसन्ततानि कर्मानुबन्धीनि मनुष्यलोके ॥ १५-२॥adhazcordhvaM prasRtAstasya zAkhA guNapravRddhA viSayapravAlAH । adhazca mUlAnyanusantatAni karmAnubandhIni manuSyaloke ॥ 15-2॥Its branches shoot upwards and downwards, deriving their nourishment from the Gunas; its buds are the objects of sense; And their secondary roots extend downwards, resulting in actions which bind in the world of men ( Manushya Lok ).

    मानापमानयोस्तुल्यस्तुल्यो मित्रारिपक्षयोः । सर्वारम्भपरित्यागी गुणातीतः स उच्यते ॥ १४-२५॥mAnApamAnayostulyastulyo mitrAripakSayoH । sarvArambhaparityAgI guNAtItaH sa ucyate ॥ 14-25॥Who is the same in honour and dishonour, the same to friend and foe, abandoning all undertakings he is said to have transcended the Gunas.

    उदासीनवदासीनो गुणैर्यो न विचाल्यते । गुणा वर्तन्त इत्येवं योऽवतिष्ठति नेङ्गते ॥ १४-२३॥udAsInavadAsIno guNairyo na vicAlyate । guNA vartanta ityevaM yo'vatiSThati neGgate ॥ 14-23॥He who sits like one unconcerned, undisturbed by the Gunas; who knows, 'It is the Gunas that alone act,' and so rests unshaken;

    अर्जुन उवाच । कैर्लिङ्गैस्त्रीन्गुणानेतानतीतो भवति प्रभो । किमाचारः कथं चैतांस्त्रीन्गुणानतिवर्तते ॥ १४-२१॥arjuna uvAca । kairliGgaistrInguNAnetAnatIto bhavati prabho । kimAcAraH kathaM caitAMstrInguNAnativartate ॥ 14-21॥Arjuna said O Prabhu ( lord )What are the marks of a man who has crossed beyond the three Gunas? What is his behaviour? And how does he transcend these three Gunas ?
