    यथा सर्वगतं सौक्ष्म्यादाकाशं नोपलिप्यते । सर्वत्रावस्थितो देहे तथात्मा नोपलिप्यते ॥ १३-३३॥yathA sarvagataM saukSmyAdAkAzaM nopalipyate । sarvatrAvasthito dehe tathAtmA nopalipyate ॥ 13-33॥As the all-pervading ether is not tainted because of its subtlety, even so, Aatmaa ( the self ) abiding in the body everywhere, is not tainted.

    समं पश्यन्हि सर्वत्र समवस्थितमीश्वरम् । न हिनस्त्यात्मनात्मानं ततो याति परां गतिम् ॥ १३-२९॥samaM pazyanhi sarvatra samavasthitamIzvaram । na hinastyAtmanAtmAnaM tato yAti parAM gatim ॥ 13-29॥Because he who sees the same Parmeshwar ( Lord ) equally dwelling everywhere does not destroy the Self by the self; he goes to the highest goal.

    मत्कर्मकृन्मत्परमो मद्भक्तः सङ्गवर्जितः । निर्वैरः सर्वभूतेषु यः स मामेति पाण्डव ॥ ११-५५॥matkarmakRnmatparamo madbhaktaH saGgavarjitaH । nirvairaH sarvabhUteSu yaH sa mAmeti pANDava ॥ 11-55॥O Pandav ( son of Pandu ), he who works for Me, accepts Me as the supreme Goal, is devoted to Me, is devoid of attachment and free from enmity towards all beings-he attains Me.

    नाहं वेदैर्न तपसा न दानेन न चेज्यया । शक्य एवंविधो द्रष्टुं दृष्टवानसि मां यथा ॥ ११-५३॥nAhaM vedairna tapasA na dAnena na cejyayA । zakya evaMvidho draSTuM dRSTavAnasi mAM yathA ॥ 11-53॥Not through the Vedas, not by austerity, not by charities, nor even by sacrifice can I be seen in this form as you have seen Me.

    सञ्जय उवाच । इत्यर्जुनं वासुदेवस्तथोक्त्वा स्वकं रूपं दर्शयामास भूयः । आश्वासयामास च भीतमेनं भूत्वा पुनः सौम्यवपुर्महात्मा ॥ ११-५०॥saJjaya uvAca । ityarjunaM vAsudevastathoktvA svakaM rUpaM darzayAmAsa bhUyaH । AzvAsayAmAsa ca bhItamenaM bhUtvA punaH saumyavapurmahAtmA ॥ 11-50॥Sanjaya said Thus, having spoken to Arjuna in that manner, Bhagavan Vasudeva ( Shri Krishna ) showed His own form again. The Mahatman (great soul ) Shri Krishna , assuming His gentle form, consoled him (Arjuna) who was terrified.

    श्रीभगवानुवाच । मया प्रसन्नेन तवार्जुनेदं रूपं परं दर्शितमात्मयोगात् । तेजोमयं विश्वमनन्तमाद्यं यन्मे त्वदन्येन न दृष्टपूर्वम् ॥ ११-४७॥zrIbhagavAnuvAca । mayA prasannena tavArjunedaM rUpaM paraM darzitamAtmayogAt । tejomayaM vizvamanantamAdyaM yanme tvadanyena na dRSTapUrvam ॥ 11-47॥Shri Bhagvan said Out of grace, O Arjuna, this supreme, radiant, Cosmic, infinite, primeval form-which (form) of Mine has not been seen before by anyone other than you, has been shown to you by Me through the power of My own Yoga.

    ध्यानेनात्मनि पश्यन्ति केचिदात्मानमात्मना । अन्ये साङ्ख्येन योगेन कर्मयोगेन चापरे ॥ १३-२५॥dhyAnenAtmani pazyanti kecidAtmAnamAtmanA । anye sAGkhyena yogena karmayogena cApare ॥ 13-25॥Through meditation some realize the Self in (their) intellect with the help of the internal organ; others through Sankhya-yoga, and others through Karma-yoga.

    तस्मात्प्रणम्य प्रणिधाय कायं प्रसादये त्वामहमीशमीड्यम् । पितेव पुत्रस्य सखेव सख्युः प्रियः प्रियायार्हसि देव सोढुम् ॥ ११-४४॥tasmAtpraNamya praNidhAya kAyaM prasAdaye tvAmahamIzamIDyam । piteva putrasya sakheva sakhyuH priyaH priyAyArhasi deva soDhum ॥ 11-44॥Therefore, by bowing down and prostrating the body, I seek to propitate You who are God and are adorable. O Bhagvan ! You should forgive (my faults) as would a father of a son, as a friend, of a friend, and as a lover of a beloved.
