    ततस्तानाकुलान् दृष्ट्वा विश्वामित्रास्त्रमोहितान् । वसिष्ठश्चोदयामास कामधुक् सृज योगतः ॥ १-५५-१tatastAnAkulAn dRSTvA vizvAmitrAstramohitAn । vasiSThazcodayAmAsa kAmadhuk sRja yogataH ॥ 1-55-1Thereafter, Vasishta having seen the forces tortured and overpowered by the weapons of Viswamitra said, 'O Kamadhenu create additional forces through your yogic power'. ( Thus Sage Shataananda continued his narration about the legend of Vishvamitra to Rama ). ॥ 1-55-1॥

    निर्दग्धं तद्बलं सर्वं प्रदीप्तैरिव पावकैः । ततोऽस्त्राणि महातेजा विश्वामित्रो मुमोच ह । तैस्तैर्यवनकांभोजा बर्बराश्चाकुलीकृताः ॥ १-५४-२३nirdagdhaM tadbalaM sarvaM pradIptairiva pAvakaiH । tato'strANi mahAtejA vizvAmitro mumoca ha । taistairyavanakAMbhojA barbarAzcAkulIkRtAH ॥ 1-54-23- looked like glowing fires, were completely burnt down entire force of Vishvamitra. Then that great-resplendent Vishvamitra indeed released his missiles, by which Yavana-s, Kaambhoja-s, and the Barbara-s, were rendered helter-skelter.' ( Thus Sage Shataananda continued his narration of Vishvamitra. ) ॥ 1-54-23॥

Yavana-s and Shaka-s, who were wielding bowie knives and broad lances, clad in golden coloured dresses and - ॥ 1-54-22॥

    भूय एवासृजद्घोरान् शकान् यवनमिश्रितान् । तैरासीत् संवृता भूमिः शकैर्यवनमिश्रितैः ॥ १-५४-२१bhUya evAsRjadghorAn zakAn yavanamizritAn । tairAsIt saMvRtA bhUmiH zakairyavanamizritaiH ॥ 1-54-21- then the Sacred Cow again generated deadly Shaka-s hobnobbed with Yavana-s ( through her mooing 'hums' ). Then the earth was pervaded with the Shaka-s associated with Yavana-s, - ॥ 1-54-21॥

King Vishvamitra was utterly infuriated and with wide-eyed anger he - ॥ 1-54-19॥
