My mind is shattered. I no longer behold my father who is ever intent on my welfare and happiness. ॥ 2-72-28॥

You will always shine incessantly like light of the Sun.' ॥ 2-72-25॥

Why are you lying down on the floor? Learned people like you, who are worthy of honour in the assembly ought not to grieve like this. ॥ 2-72-24॥

    मत्तमातङ्गसङ्काशं चन्द्रार्कसदृशं भुवः । उत्थापयित्वा शोकार्तं वचनं चेदमब्रवीत् ॥ २-७२-२३mattamAtaGgasaGkAzaM candrArkasadRzaM bhuvaH । utthApayitvA zokArtaM vacanaM cedamabravIt ॥ 2-72-23Seeing her son who was like a mighty elephant or like the Sun or the Moon, Kaikeyi lifted him up from the ground and spoke these words ॥ 2-72-23॥
