We must seek refuge in destiny alone. Pay heed to my words.' ॥ 1-34-4 ॥

But I will recite the names of the chief ones. Listen to me!' ॥ 1-31-4 ॥

    ऊर्ध्वं नाभेर्मेध्यतरः पुरुषः परिकीर्तितः । तस्मान् मेध्यतमं त्वस्य मुखमुक्तं स्वयम्भुवा ॥ ९२ ॥UrdhvaM nAbhermedhyataraH puruSaH parikIrtitaH । tasmAn medhyatamaM tvasya mukhamuktaM svayambhuvA ॥ 92 ॥Man is stated to be purer above the navel (than below); hence the Self-existent (Svayambhu) has declared the purest (part) of him (to be) his mouth.
