    पितर्युपरते बालाः सह मात्रा सुदुःखिताः । आनीताः स्वपुरं राज्ञा वसन्त इति शुश्रुम ॥ १०-४८-३३ ॥pitaryuparate bAlAH saha mAtrA suduHkhitAH । AnItAH svapuraM rAjJA vasanta iti zuzruma ॥ 10-48-33 ॥We have heard that when their father passed away, the young Pāṇḍavas were brought with their anguished mother to the capital city by King Dhṛtarāṣṭra, and that they are now living there. ॥ 10-48-33 ॥

And it is also very good that Lord Acyuta is living happily in the company of His well-wishing friends and relatives, whose every desire is now fulfilled. ॥ 10-47-39 ॥

    तन्नावकल्पयोः कंसान्नित्यमुद्विग्नचेतसोः । मोघमेते व्यतिक्रान्ता दिवसा वामनर्चतोः ॥ १०-४५-८ ॥tannAvakalpayoH kaMsAnnityamudvignacetasoH । moghamete vyatikrAntA divasA vAmanarcatoH ॥ 10-45-8 ॥Thus We have wasted all these days, unable as We were to properly honor you because Our minds were always disturbed by fear of Kaṁsa. ॥ 10-45-8 ॥

    मातरं पितरं वृद्धं भार्यां साध्वीं सुतं शिशुम् । गुरुं विप्रं प्रपन्नं च कल्पोऽबिभ्रच्छ्वसन् मृतः ॥ १०-४५-७ ॥mAtaraM pitaraM vRddhaM bhAryAM sAdhvIM sutaM zizum । guruM vipraM prapannaM ca kalpo'bibhracchvasan mRtaH ॥ 10-45-7 ॥A man who, though able to do so, fails to support his elderly parents, chaste wife, young child or spiritual master, or who neglects a brāhmaṇa or anyone who comes to him for shelter, is considered dead, though breathing. ॥ 10-45-7 ॥

    यस्तयोरात्मजः कल्प आत्मना च धनेन च । वृत्तिं न दद्यात्तं प्रेत्य स्वमांसं खादयन्ति हि ॥ १०-४५-६ ॥yastayorAtmajaH kalpa AtmanA ca dhanena ca । vRttiM na dadyAttaM pretya svamAMsaM khAdayanti hi ॥ 10-45-6 ॥A son who, though able to do so, fails to provide for his parents with his physical resources and wealth is forced after his death to eat his own flesh. ॥ 10-45-6 ॥

    पूतनानेन नीतान्तं चक्रवातश्च दानवः । अर्जुनौ गुह्यकः केशी धेनुकोऽन्ये च तद्विधाः ॥ १०-४३-२५ ॥pUtanAnena nItAntaM cakravAtazca dAnavaH । arjunau guhyakaH kezI dhenuko'nye ca tadvidhAH ॥ 10-43-25 ॥He made Pūtanā and the whirlwind demon meet with death, pulled down the twin Arjuna trees, and killed Śaṅkhacūḍa, Keśī, Dhenuka and similar demons. ॥ 10-43-25 ॥

    एतौ भगवतः साक्षाद्धरेर्नारायणस्य हि । अवतीर्णाविहांशेन वसुदेवस्य वेश्मनि ॥ १०-४३-२३ ॥etau bhagavataH sAkSAddharernArAyaNasya hi । avatIrNAvihAMzena vasudevasya vezmani ॥ 10-43-23 ॥॥ The people said:॥ These two boys are certainly expansions of the Supreme Lord Nārāyaṇa who have descended to this world in the home of Vasudeva. ॥ 10-43-23 ॥
