स निर्जित्य पुरीं श्रेष्ठां लङ्कां तां कामरूपिणीम् । विक्रमेण महातेजा हनुमान् कपिसत्तमः ॥ ५-४-१
Hanuman, mighty monkey chief by his prowess having defeated the (presiding) deity of Lanka who could assume any form at her will - ॥ 5-4-1॥
english translation
sa nirjitya purIM zreSThAM laGkAM tAM kAmarUpiNIm । vikrameNa mahAtejA hanumAn kapisattamaH ॥ 5-4-1
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअद्वारेण च महाबाहुः प्राकारमभिपुप्लुवे । प्रविश्य नगरीं लङ्कां कपिराजहितंकरः ॥ ५-४-२
- the strong-shouldered leaped over the boundary wall of the rear entrance of the excellent city. Hanuman, a devotee of the king of monkeys entered the city of Lanka . - ॥ 5-4-2॥

advAreNa ca mahAbAhuH prAkAramabhipupluve । pravizya nagarIM laGkAM kapirAjahitaMkaraH ॥ 5-4-2
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचक्रेऽथ पादं सव्यं च शत्रूणां स तु मूर्धनि । प्रविष्टः सत्त्वसम्पन्नो निशायां मारुतात्मजः ॥ ५-४-३

hk transliteration by Sanscriptस महापथमास्थाय मुक्तापुष्पविराजितम् । ततस्तु तां पुरीं लङ्कां रम्यामभिययौ कपिः ॥ ५-४-४
- the enchanting city of Lanka and then kapi (vanara Hanuman) walked along the highway set with flowers of pearls. ॥ 5-4-4॥

Reverberating with sounds of laughter and with sounds of musical instruments at the interior, equal in strength to diamonds and clubs and with windows decorated with diamonds - ॥ 5-4-5॥
