छेत्स्यते समरे बाहू तदा स्वर्गं गमिष्यसि । अनेन वपुषा राम वनेऽस्मिन्राजसत्तम ॥ ३-७१-१६
- cuts off your arms in a fight, you would reach heaven.' Oh ! Rama, the best of kings, in this forest and with this body . - ॥ 3-71-16॥
english translation
chetsyate samare bAhU tadA svargaM gamiSyasi । anena vapuSA rAma vane'sminrAjasattama ॥ 3-71-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयद्यत्पश्यामि सर्वस्य ग्रहणं साधु रोचये । अवश्यं ग्रहणं रामो मन्येऽहं समुपैष्यति ॥ ३-७१-१७
- I thought it was only proper to catch whatever creature I saw. Oh ! Rama, ( thought ) some day you would certainly come into my arms - ॥ 3-71-17॥
english translation
yadyatpazyAmi sarvasya grahaNaM sAdhu rocaye । avazyaM grahaNaM rAmo manye'haM samupaiSyati ॥ 3-71-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइमां बुद्धिं पुरस्कृत्य देहन्यासकृतश्रमः । स त्वं रामोऽसि भद्रं ते नाहमन्येन राघव ॥ ३-७१-१८
- I was struggling to preserve my body all the time thinking that thought. Oh ! Raaghava, you are that Rama. Be blessed. Not any one except you, I . - ॥ 3-71-18॥

imAM buddhiM puraskRtya dehanyAsakRtazramaH । sa tvaM rAmo'si bhadraM te nAhamanyena rAghava ॥ 3-71-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशक्यो हन्तुं यथातत्त्वमेवमुक्तं महर्षिणा । अहं हि मतिसाचिव्यं करिष्यामि नरर्षभ ॥ ३-७१-१९
- can be really killed as stated by the seer. Oh ! best among men I will help you with my wisdom and . - ॥ 3-71-19॥

zakyo hantuM yathAtattvamevamuktaM maharSiNA । ahaM hi matisAcivyaM kariSyAmi nararSabha ॥ 3-71-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमित्रं चैवोपदेक्ष्यामि युवाभ्यां संस्कृतोऽग्निना । एवमुक्तस्तु धर्मात्मा दनुना तेन राघवः ॥ ३-७१-२०
