सक्थिनी चैव मूर्धा च शरीरे सम्प्रवेशितम् । स मया याच्यमानस्सन्नानयद्यमसादनम् ॥ ३-७१-११
- pierced my thighs and my head, which entered into the body. Entreated, he did not send me to the abode of Yama ( lord of death ) . - [3-71-11]

पितामहवचस्सत्यं तदस्त्विति ममाब्रवीत् । अनाहारः कथं शक्तो भग्नसक्थिशिरोमुखः ॥ ३-७१-१२
- and said, 'Let the words of the creator be true'. Somehow without food, with my thighbones, head and face broken . - [3-71-12]
english translation
वज्रेणाभिहतः कालं सुदीर्घमपि जीवितुम् । एवमुक्तस्तु मे शक्रो बाहू योजनमायतौ ॥ ३-७१-१३
- hit by the thunderbolt, I could manage to live for a long time. Having been entreated, in me two long arms extending upto a yojana, Indra created . - [3-71-13]

प्रादादास्यं च मे कुक्षौ तीक्ष्णदंष्ट्रमकल्पयत् । सोऽहं भुजाभ्यां दीर्घाभ्यां संकृष्यास्मिन्वने चरान् ॥ ३-७१-१४
- and set my mouth with sharp teeth in the stomach. Stretching the long arms in the forest, I dragged moving creatures . - [3-71-14]

सिंहव्दिपमृगव्याघ्रान् भक्षयामि समन्ततः । स तु मामब्रवीदिन्द्रो यदा रामस्सलक्ष्मणः ॥ ३-७१-१५
- like lions, tigers, elephants and deer all over ( moving in the forest ) and ate them. Indra too had said, 'When Rama along with Lakshmana . - [3-71-15]
