तां हेमवर्णां हेमाभां सीतां दर्शय पर्वत । यावत्सानूनि सर्वाणि न ते विध्वंसयाम्यहम् ॥ ३-६४-३१
- 'Oh ! Mountain before I destroy all your slopes show me that golden-hued Sita with lustre like gold.' ॥ 3-64-31॥
english translation
tAM hemavarNAM hemAbhAM sItAM darzaya parvata । yAvatsAnUni sarvANi na te vidhvaMsayAmyaham ॥ 3-64-31
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवमुक्तस्तु रामेण पर्वतो मैथिलीं प्रति । शंसन्निव ततस्सीतां नादर्शयत राघवे ॥ ३-६४-३२
Thus addressed by Rama, the mountain echoed as if it was telling about Sita but did not show her to Rama. ॥ 3-64-32॥

evamuktastu rAmeNa parvato maithilIM prati । zaMsanniva tatassItAM nAdarzayata rAghave ॥ 3-64-32
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो दाशरथी राम उवाच च शिलोच्चयम् । मम बाणाग्निनिर्दग्धो भस्मीभूतो भविष्यसि ॥ ३-६४-३३
Rama, Dasaratha's son said to the mountain, 'The fire of my arrows will reduce you to ashes. You will have . - ॥ 3-64-33॥
english translation
tato dAzarathI rAma uvAca ca ziloccayam । mama bANAgninirdagdho bhasmIbhUto bhaviSyasi ॥ 3-64-33
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअसेव्यः सततं चैव निस्तृणद्रुमपल्लवः । इमां वा सरितं चाद्य शोषयिष्यामि लक्ष्मण ॥ ३-६४-३४
- no grass, no tree, no twig. You will be unfit to be served any more. Oh ! Lakshmana, I will drain this river dry right now - ॥ 3-64-34॥
english translation
asevyaH satataM caiva nistRNadrumapallavaH । imAM vA saritaM cAdya zoSayiSyAmi lakSmaNa ॥ 3-64-34
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयदि नाख्याति मे सीतामार्यां चन्द्रनिभाननाम् । एवं स रुषितो रामो दिधक्षन्निव चक्षुषा ॥ ३-६४-३५
- if it does not tell me about that noble Sita with countenance like the moon'. While Rama was angry as if wishing to burn with his eyes - ॥ 3-64-35॥

yadi nAkhyAti me sItAmAryAM candranibhAnanAm । evaM sa ruSito rAmo didhakSanniva cakSuSA ॥ 3-64-35
