विषपानं पिबस्येतत्पिपासित इवोदकम् । अनुबन्धमजानन्तः कर्मणामविचक्षणाः ॥ ३-५१-२६
- you are drinking poison like a thirsty man drinks water. Fools who do not know the consequences of their action . - ॥ 3-51-26॥
english translation
viSapAnaM pibasyetatpipAsita ivodakam । anubandhamajAnantaH karmaNAmavicakSaNAH ॥ 3-51-26
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशीघ्रमेव विनश्यन्ति यथा त्वं विनशिष्यसि । बद्धस्त्वं कालपाशेन क्व गतस्तस्य मोक्ष्यसे ॥ ३-५१-२७
- perish soon. Similarly you are going to die soon. Where can you go now? You are bound by the noose of death . - ॥ 3-51-27॥
english translation
zIghrameva vinazyanti yathA tvaM vinaziSyasi । baddhastvaM kAlapAzena kva gatastasya mokSyase ॥ 3-51-27
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवधाय बडिशं गृह्य सामिषं जलजो यथा । न हि जातु दुराधर्षौ काकुत्स्थौ तव रावण ॥ ३-५१-२८
- like a fish holding on to the bait of the fishing hook. Oh ! Ravana know that both ( Rama and Lakshmana ), the Kakutsthas, are invincible. Surely not - ॥ 3-51-28॥
english translation
vadhAya baDizaM gRhya sAmiSaM jalajo yathA । na hi jAtu durAdharSau kAkutsthau tava rAvaNa ॥ 3-51-28
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधर्षणं चाश्रमस्यास्य क्षमिष्येते तु राघवौ । यथा त्वया कृतं कर्म भीरुणा लोकगर्हितम् ॥ ३-५१-२९
- Rama and Lakshmana will forgive the assault you have made on their hermitage. Your cowardly action will be condemned by the whole world. ॥ 3-51-29॥
english translation
dharSaNaM cAzramasyAsya kSamiSyete tu rAghavau । yathA tvayA kRtaM karma bhIruNA lokagarhitam ॥ 3-51-29
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्कराचरितो मार्गो नैव वीरनिषेवितः । युध्यस्व यदि शूरोऽसि मुहूर्तं तिष्ठरावण ॥ ३-५१-३०
The path you have chosen is the path of a thief and not of a hero. Oh ! Ravana if you are courageous, stay awhile and fight with me. ॥ 3-51-30॥
english translation
taskarAcarito mArgo naiva vIraniSevitaH । yudhyasva yadi zUro'si muhUrtaM tiSTharAvaNa ॥ 3-51-30
