अस्य मायाविदो मायामृगरूपमिदं कृतम् । भानुमत्पुरुषव्याघ्र गन्धर्वपुरसन्निभम् ॥ ३-४३-६
Oh ! tiger among men, this deceitful demon (Maricha) has been transformed into the illusory form of a radiant deer which does not exist. ॥ 3-43-6॥
english translation
asya mAyAvido mAyAmRgarUpamidaM kRtam । bhAnumatpuruSavyAghra gandharvapurasannibham ॥ 3-43-6
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमृगो ह्येवंविधो रत्नविचित्रो नास्ति राघव । जगत्यां जगतीनाथ मायैषा हि न संशयः ॥ ३-४३-७
Oh ! Rama, lord of the world nowhere on earth does exist this kind of wonderful deer sparkling with gems. That it is a mere trick, an illusion there is no doubt.' ॥ 3-43-7॥
english translation
mRgo hyevaMvidho ratnavicitro nAsti rAghava । jagatyAM jagatInAtha mAyaiSA hi na saMzayaH ॥ 3-43-7
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं ब्रुवाणं काकुत्स्थं प्रतिवार्य शुचिस्मिता । उवाच सीता संहृष्टा चर्मणा हृतचेतना ॥ ३-४३-८
Sita was too enchanted by the skin of the deer to retain her sense of discrimination. Intervening, she said to Rama joyfully with a pure smile on her face ॥ 3-43-8॥

evaM bruvANaM kAkutsthaM prativArya zucismitA । uvAca sItA saMhRSTA carmaNA hRtacetanA ॥ 3-43-8
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआर्यपुत्राभिरामोऽसौ मृगो हरति मे मनः । आनयैनं महाबाहो क्रीडार्थं नो भविष्यति ॥ ३-४३-९
- 'Oh ! prince, Oh ! long-armed one, this deer has captivated my mind. Fetch him for me.This will be our playmate. ॥ 3-43-9॥

AryaputrAbhirAmo'sau mRgo harati me manaH । AnayainaM mahAbAho krIDArthaM no bhaviSyati ॥ 3-43-9
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइहाश्रमपदेऽस्माकं बहवः पुण्यदर्शनाः । मृगाश्चरन्ति सहिताश्चमरास्सृमरास्तथा ॥ ३-४३-१०
Here at the hermitage there are many lovely deer, yaks and antelopes wandering in herds. ॥ 3-43-10॥

ihAzramapade'smAkaM bahavaH puNyadarzanAH । mRgAzcaranti sahitAzcamarAssRmarAstathA ॥ 3-43-10
