वस्तुं तवयीच्छामि विशां वरिष्ठ; तान राजसिंहान न हि वेद्मि पार्थान न शक्यते जीवितुम अन्यकर्मणा; न च तवदन्यॊ मम रॊचते नृपः ॥ ४-९-५ ॥
'O foremost among men, I now intend to live here by thy side, for I know not where those lion-hearted sons of Pritha are. I cannot live without service, and, O king, I wish to serve none but thee.' ॥ 4-9-5 ॥
