'Are you the daughter of a celestial being, or a maiden of the Nāga race? Are you the guardian goddess of some city, a Vidyādhari, or a Kinnari—or are you Rohiṇī herself? Or perhaps you are Alambusā, Miśrakeśī, Puṇḍarīkā, or Mālinī; the queen of Indra or of Varuṇa; or the consort of Viśvakarmā, or even of the Creator himself. Among all the goddesses famed throughout the celestial realms, tell me, O graceful one—who are you truly?' ॥ 4-8-14 ॥
