परसादनं पाण्डवस्य पराप्तकालं हि रॊचये उत्तरां च परयच्छामि पार्थाय यदि ते मतम ॥ ४-६६-१६ ॥

‘I believe the time has come for me to make amends with the sons of Pandu. If it pleases you, I shall offer my daughter, Uttara, in marriage to Arjuna.’ ।। 4-66-16 ।।

english translation

parasAdanaM pANDavasya parAptakAlaM hi ròcaye uttarAM ca parayacchAmi pArthAya yadi te matama ॥ 4-66-16 ॥

[उत्तर] अर्च्याः पूज्याश च मान्याश च पराप्तकालं च मे मतम पूज्यन्तां पूजनार्हाश च महाभागाश च पाण्डवाः ॥ ४-६६-१७ ॥

‘Uttara said, 'The illustrious sons of Pandu are worthy of our reverence, honor, and worship. I believe the time has now come for us to pay them the homage they so truly deserve.'’ ।। 4-66-17 ।।

english translation

[uttara] arcyAH pUjyAza ca mAnyAza ca parAptakAlaM ca me matama pUjyantAM pUjanArhAza ca mahAbhAgAza ca pANDavAH ॥ 4-66-17 ॥

[विराट] अहं खल्व अपि संग्रामे शत्रूणां वशम आगतः मॊक्षितॊ भीमसेनेन गावश च विजितास तथा ॥ ४-६६-१८ ॥

‘Virata said, 'When I had fallen into the hands of the enemy in battle, it was Bhimasena who rescued me, and the kine too were recovered by Arjuna.'’ ।। 4-66-18 ।।

[virATa] ahaM khalva api saMgrAme zatrUNAM vazama AgataH mòkSitò bhImasenena gAvaza ca vijitAsa tathA ॥ 4-66-18 ॥

एतेषां बाहुवीर्येण यद अस्माकं जयॊ मृधे वयं सर्वे सहामात्याः कुन्तीपुत्रं युधिष्ठिरम परसादयामॊ भद्रं ते सानुजं पाण्डवर्षभम ॥ ४-६६-१९ ॥

‘Through the might of their arms, victory in battle has been ours. In view of this, it is only fitting that we, together with our counsellors, should seek to propitiate Yudhishthira, the son of Kunti. Blessed be you, O mighty bull among the sons of Pandu, together with all your brothers.’ ।। 4-66-19 ।।

eteSAM bAhuvIryeNa yada asmAkaM jayò mRdhe vayaM sarve sahAmAtyAH kuntIputraM yudhiSThirama parasAdayAmò bhadraM te sAnujaM pANDavarSabhama ॥ 4-66-19 ॥

यद अस्माभिर अजानद भिः किं चिद उक्तॊ नराधिपः कषन्तुम अर्हति तत सर्वं धर्मात्मा हय एष पाण्डवः ॥ ४-६६-२० ॥

‘And if, O king, through ignorance we have ever spoken or acted in a manner that has caused you offence, we beseech you to forgive us. For the son of Pandu is ever virtuous and noble.’ ।। 4-66-20 ।।

yada asmAbhira ajAnada bhiH kiM cida uktò narAdhipaH kaSantuma arhati tata sarvaM dharmAtmA haya eSa pANDavaH ॥ 4-66-20 ॥
