[युधिस्ठिर] यत्र दरॊणस तथा भीष्मॊ दरौणिर वैकर्तनः कृपः दुर्यॊधनश च राजेन्द्र तथान्ये च महारथाः ॥ ४-६३-४१ ॥
'Yudhishthira said: “Where Bhishma and Drona, together with Drona’s son, Karna the son of Vikartana, Kripa, King Duryodhana, and many other mighty car-warriors stand assembled "' ॥ 4-63-41 ॥
english translation
[yudhisThira] yatra daròNasa tathA bhISmò darauNira vaikartanaH kRpaH duryòdhanaza ca rAjendra tathAnye ca mahArathAH ॥ 4-63-41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमरुद्गणैः परिवृतः साक्षाद अपि शतक्रतुः कॊ ऽनयॊ बृहन्नडायास तान परतियुध्येत संगतान ॥ ४-६३-४२ ॥
'Yudhishthira said: “ .or where Indra himself appears surrounded by the Maruts—who else but Vrihannala could dare to face them all in battle?"' ॥ 4-63-42 ॥
english translation
marudgaNaiH parivRtaH sAkSAda api zatakratuH kò 'nayò bRhannaDAyAsa tAna paratiyudhyeta saMgatAna ॥ 4-63-42 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[विराट] बहुशः परतिषिद्धॊ ऽसि न च वाचं नियच्छसि नियन्ता चेन न विद्येत न कश चिद धर्मम आचरेत ॥ ४-६३-४३ ॥
'Then King Virata said, ‘Though I have forbidden you again and again, still you do not restrain your tongue. If there were none to punish, none would ever remain steadfast in virtue.’' ॥ 4-63-43 ॥
english translation
[virATa] bahuzaH paratiSiddhò 'si na ca vAcaM niyacchasi niyantA cena na vidyeta na kaza cida dharmama Acareta ॥ 4-63-43 ॥

'Vaiśampāyana continued: “Thus speaking, the king, burning with rage, struck Yudhishthira hard upon the face with the dice, and rebuked him fiercely, saying, ‘Let not such words be uttered again!’' ॥ 4-63-44 ॥

[vai] tataH parakupitò rAjA tama akSeNAhanada bhRzama mukhe yudhiSThiraM kòpAna naivama itya eva bhartsayana ॥ 4-63-44 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबलवत परतिविद्धस्य नस्तः शॊणितम आगमत तद अप्राप्तं महीं पार्थः पाणिभ्यां परत्यगृह्णत ॥ ४-६३-४५ ॥
'From that violent blow, blood at once began to flow from Yudhishthira’s nose. But the son of Pritha held it in his hands before it fell on the ground.' ॥ 4-63-45 ॥
