परकीर्णपर्णानि यथा वसन्ते; विशातयित्वात्यनिलॊ नुदन खे तथा सपत्नान विकिरन किरीटी; चचार संख्ये ऽति रथॊ रथेन ॥ ४-४९-१७ ॥
'Just as a mighty wind in spring, having dried up the scattered leaves, drives them about in the sky, so did the diademed one (Kirīṭī), scattering his enemies, move about in battle as a great chariot warrior with his chariot.' ॥ 4-49-17 ॥
