'We shall fight against him in battle - the foremost among all weapon-bearers. Therefore, whatever is auspicious/beneficial in this world and is practiced by the virtuous, let that be arranged quickly, lest our purpose/objective slip away beyond (our reach).' ।। 4-47-11 ।।
न हि पश्यामि संग्रामे कदा चिद अपि कौरव एकान्तसिद्धिं राजेन्द्र संप्राप्तश च धनंजयः ।। ४-४७-१२ ।।
'O Kaurava, I do not see in battle, at any time ever, a complete/absolute victory, O king of kings, when Dhananjaya (Arjuna) has arrived.' ।। 4-47-12 ।।
'When the battle has commenced, existence and non-existence, victory and defeat - certainly one of these must touch (affect us); this is seen (as truth) without doubt.' ।। 4-47-13 ।।
तस्माद युद्धावचरिकं कर्म वा धर्मसंहितम करियताम आशु राजेन्द्र संप्राप्तॊ हि धनंजयः ।। ४-४७-१४ ।।
'Therefore, let the preliminary rites of war or the dharma-prescribed actions be performed quickly, O king of kings, for Dhananjaya (Arjuna) has indeed arrived.' ।। 4-47-14 ।।
'Duryodhana said, 'I will not, O grandsire, give back the Pandavas their kingdom. Let every preparation, therefore, for battle be made without delay.'' ।। 4-47-15 ।।
