संप्रवृत्ते तु संग्रामे भावाभावौ जयाजयौ अवश्यम एकं सपृशतॊ दृष्टम एतद असंशयम ॥ ४-४७-१३ ॥
'When the battle has commenced, existence and non-existence, victory and defeat - certainly one of these must touch (affect us); this is seen (as truth) without doubt.' ॥ 4-47-13 ॥
