लाभे न हर्षयेद यस तु न वयथेद यॊ ऽवमानितः असंमूढश च यॊ नित्यं स राजवसतिं वसेत ॥ ४-४-३१ ॥
'He who is ever mindful of the king’s welfare, neither elated by reward nor disheartened by disgrace, alone deserves to dwell in a royal household.' ॥ 4-4-31 ॥
