नाहम अस्य परियॊ ऽसमीति मत्वा सेवेत पण्डितः अप्रमत्तश च यत्तश च हितं कुर्यात परियं च यत ।। ४-४-२० ।।

sanskrit

'One should never indulge the thought, 'I am not favored by the king.' Instead, he must cast aside all negligence and remain intent on accomplishing what is both agreeable and beneficial to the monarch.' ।। 4-4-20 ।।

english translation

nAhama asya pariyò 'samIti matvA seveta paNDitaH apramattaza ca yattaza ca hitaM kuryAta pariyaM ca yata || 4-4-20 ||
