अथ यत्रैनम आसीनं शङ्केरन दुष्टचारिणः न तत्रॊपविशेज जातु स राजवसतिं वसेत ।। ४-४-११ ।।
'He alone is fit to dwell in a royal household who refrains from occupying any seat that might arouse suspicion in the minds of the malicious.' ।। 4-4-11 ।।
'No one should offer advice to a king uninvited. One must pay homage to the king at the proper time, and then sit beside him silently and respectfully.' ।। 4-4-12 ।।
नैषां दारेषु कुर्वीत मैत्रीं पराज्ञः कथं चन अन्तःपुर चरा ये च दवेष्टि यानहिताश च ये ।। ४-४-१४ ।।
'A wise person should never form friendships with the king’s wife, nor with those who dwell in the inner chambers, nor with individuals who are the objects of the king’s displeasure.' ।। 4-4-14 ।।
विदिते चास्य कुर्वीत कर्याणि सुलघून्य अपि एवं विचरतॊ राज्ञॊ न कषतिर जायते कव चित ।। ४-४-१५ ।।
'One who serves near a king should perform even the smallest tasks, and always with the king’s knowledge. Acting in this way, one incurs no harm from the sovereign.' ।। 4-4-15 ।।
