नॊत्सहे कुरुभिर यॊद्धुं रॊमहर्षं हि पश्य मे बहु परवीरम अत्युग्रं देवैर अपि दुरासदम परतियॊद्धुं न शक्ष्यामि कुरुसैन्यम अनन्तकम ॥ ४-३६-९ ॥

sanskrit

'I dare not fight with the Kurus. Look—my very hairs have stood on end! I am incapable of battling this vast and countless host of the Kurus, abounding in mighty warriors. They are exceedingly fierce, and even the celestials would find them difficult to defeat.' ॥ 4-36-9 ॥

english translation

nòtsahe kurubhira yòddhuM ròmaharSaM hi pazya me bahu paravIrama atyugraM devaira api durAsadama paratiyòddhuM na zakSyAmi kurusainyama anantakama ॥ 4-36-9 ॥
