[उत्तर] बृहन्नडे गायनॊ वा नर्तनॊ वा पुनर भव कषिप्रं मे रथम आस्थाय निगृह्णीष्व हयॊत्तमान ।। ४-३५-१६ ।।
'Uttara said: “O Vrihannala, whether thou art a singer or a dancer, let that be for later. Mount my chariot at once and take hold of the reins of my noble steeds—without delay!”' ।। 4-35-16 ।।
'Vaisampayana continued: Although that subduer of foes, the son of Pandu, knew everything, he deliberately feigned ignorance and made many playful mistakes in the presence of Uttara, indulging in jest.' ।। 4-35-17 ।।
'And when he sought to put the coat of mail on by lifting it upwards over his body, the large-eyed maidens who beheld him burst into loud laughter.' ।। 4-35-18 ।।
स बिभ्रत कवचं चाग्र्यं सवयम अप्य अंशुमत परभम धवजं च सिंहम उच्छ्रित्य सारथ्ये समकल्पयत ।। ४-३५-२० ।।
'Then, casing his own body in an excellent armour that gleamed like the sun, and raising his standard bearing the emblem of a lion, the prince appointed Vrihannala as his charioteer.' ।। 4-35-20 ।।
