ततॊ विराटः कौन्तेयान अति मानुषविक्रमान अर्चयाम आस वित्तेन मानेन च महारथान ।। ४-३२-३६ ।।
'Thereafter, King Virata paid homage to the sons of Kunti—heroes of superhuman valour—honouring those mighty chariot-warriors with riches and reverence.' ।। 4-32-36 ।।
'[Virata said:] "Even as these treasures are mine, so are they yours as well. Use them all freely—according to your desire and for your comfort."' ।। 4-32-37 ।।
ददान्य अलं कृताः कन्या वसूनि विविधानि च मनसश चाप्य अभिप्रेतं यद वः शत्रुनिबर्हणाः ।। ४-३२-३८ ।।
'And you, O smiters of foes in battle, I shall bestow upon you maidens adorned with ornaments, wealth in abundance, and all else that your hearts may desire.' ।। 4-32-38 ।।
युष्माकं विक्रमाद अद्य मुक्तॊ ऽहं सवस्तिमान इह तस्माद भवन्तॊ मत्स्यानाम ईश्वराः सर्व एव हि ।। ४-३२-३९ ।।
'Through your valor, I have today been delivered from danger and crowned with victory. Let all of you henceforth be the lords of the Matsyas.' ।। 4-32-39 ।।
'Vaishampayana continued: And when the king of the Matsyas had spoken thus, the Kaurava princes, each in turn, with Yudhishthira at their head, responded with joined palms.' ।। 4-32-40 ।।
