वीराङ्गरूपाः पुरुषा नागराजकरॊपमाः नेमे जातु न युध्येरन्न इति मे धीयते मतिः ॥ ४-३०-२१ ॥
'Bearing such martial forms, with arms like the trunks of mighty elephants, I cannot believe that they are incapable of battle, said the king ' ॥ 4-30-21 ॥

vIrAGgarUpAH puruSA nAgarAjakaròpamAH neme jAtu na yudhyeranna iti me dhIyate matiH ॥ 4-30-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतच छरुत्वा तु नृपतेर वाक्यं तवरितमानसः शतानीकस तु पार्थेभ्यॊ रथान राजन समादिशत सहदेवाय राज्ञे च भीमाय नकुलाय च ॥ ४-३०-२२ ॥
'Hearing these words, O monarch, Shatanika at once ordered chariots for the sons of Pritha—Yudhishthira, Bhima, Nakula, and Sahadeva.' ॥ 4-30-22 ॥

etaca charutvA tu nRpatera vAkyaM tavaritamAnasaH zatAnIkasa tu pArthebhyò rathAna rAjana samAdizata sahadevAya rAjJe ca bhImAya nakulAya ca ॥ 4-30-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतान परहृष्टास ततः सूता राजभक्तिपुरस्कृताः निर्दिष्टान नरदेवेन रथाञ शीघ्रम अयॊजयन ॥ ४-३०-२३ ॥
'At the king's command, the charioteers, with cheerful hearts and full of loyal devotion, swiftly readied the chariots for the Pandavas.' ॥ 4-30-23 ॥

tAna parahRSTAsa tataH sUtA rAjabhaktipuraskRtAH nirdiSTAna naradevena rathAJa zIghrama ayòjayana ॥ 4-30-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकवचानि विचित्राणि दृढानि च मृदूनि च विराटः परादिशद यानि तेषाम अक्लिष्टकर्मणाम तान्य आमुच्य शरीरेषु दंशितास ते परंतपाः ॥ ४-३०-२४ ॥
'And those repressers of foes then donned those splendid coats of mail—invulnerable, adorned, and easy to wear—that Virata had ordered for those spotless heroes.' ॥ 4-30-24 ॥

kavacAni vicitrANi dRDhAni ca mRdUni ca virATaH parAdizada yAni teSAma akliSTakarmaNAma tAnya Amucya zarIreSu daMzitAsa te paraMtapAH ॥ 4-30-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतरस्विनश छिन्नरूपाः सर्वे युद्धविशारदाः विराटम अन्वयुः पश्चात सहिताः कुरुपुंगवाः चत्वारॊ भरातरः शूराः पाण्डवाः सत्यविक्रमाः ॥ ४-३०-२५ ॥
'Indeed, those mighty warriors, masters of warfare—bulls among the Kurus, sons of Pandu, heroic brothers whose prowess none could withstand—ascended their gold-decked chariots and rode forth, following in the path of king Virata.' ॥ 4-30-25 ॥
