'The great warriors then yoked their white and well-equipped chariots, each harnessing to his own vehicle noble steeds adorned with golden trappings.' ।। 4-30-16 ।।
अथ मत्स्यॊ ऽबरवीद राजा शतानीकं जघन्यजम कङ्कबल्लव गॊपाला दाम गरन्थिश च वीर्यवान युध्येयुर इति मे बुद्धिर वर्तते नात्र संशयः ।। ४-३०-१९ ।।
'Then King Matsya spoke to his younger brother Shatanika, saying: 'Kanka, Vallava, Tantripala, and the mighty Damagranthi—these men, as I believe, will assuredly fight without hesitation.'' ।। 4-30-19 ।।
एतेषाम अपि दीयन्तां रथा धवजपताकिनः कवचानि विचित्राणि दृढानि च मृदूनि च परतिमुञ्चन्तु गॊत्रेषु दीयन्ताम आयुधानि च ।। ४-३०-२० ।।
'Provide them with chariots bearing standards, and let them be clad in fine coats of mail—both impenetrable and easy to bear. Equip them also with weapons.' ।। 4-30-20 ।।
