[वै] किं तवं नकुल कुर्वाणस तत्र तात चरिष्यसि सुकुमारश च शूरश च दर्शनीयः सुखॊचितः ।। ४-३-१ ।।
'Yudhishthira said, "O heroic Nakula, tender and graceful as thou art, deserving of every comfort and luxury, what role wilt thou undertake while residing in that king’s realm? Pray, tell me all about it!"' ।। 4-3-1 ।।
'Nakula said, "Under the name Granthika, I shall serve as the keeper of King Virata’s horses. I possess thorough knowledge of this work and am skilled in tending horses."' ।। 4-3-2 ।।
कुशलॊ ऽसम्य अश्वशिक्षायां तथैवाश्वचिकित्सिते परियाश च सततं मे ऽशवाः कुरुराज यथा तव ।। ४-३-३ ।।
'Moreover, this task is pleasing to me, for I possess great skill in training and caring for horses; and horses are ever dear to me, just as they are to thee, O king of the Kurus.' ।। 4-3-3 ।।
