परज्ञावान कुरुवृद्धॊ ऽयं सर्वेषां नः पितामहः आचार्यश च तथा दरॊणः कृपः शारद्वतस तथा ॥ ४-२९-१६ ॥
'Or, let this expedition be directed according to the counsel of Kripa, Drona, and the wise grandsire of the Kurus.' ॥ 4-29-16 ॥
english translation
parajJAvAna kuruvRddhò 'yaM sarveSAM naH pitAmahaH AcAryaza ca tathA daròNaH kRpaH zAradvatasa tathA ॥ 4-29-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमन्यन्ते ते यथा सर्वे तथा यात्रा विधीयताम संमन्त्र्य चाशु गच्छामः साधनार्थं महीपतेः ॥ ४-२९-१७ ॥
'Let the expedition be arranged in whatever manner all of them deem best. And having held counsel, let us swiftly depart to accomplish the king’s objective.' ॥ 4-29-17 ॥
english translation
manyante te yathA sarve tathA yAtrA vidhIyatAma saMmantrya cAzu gacchAmaH sAdhanArthaM mahIpateH ॥ 4-29-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकिं च नः पाण्डवैः कार्यं हीनार्थबलपौरुषैः अत्यर्थं वा परनष्टास ते पराप्ता वापि यमक्षयम ॥ ४-२९-१८ ॥
'What concern have we now with the Pandavas—destitute as they are of wealth, strength, and energy? Surely they are either gone forever or have reached the abode of Yama.' ॥ 4-29-18 ॥

kiM ca naH pANDavaiH kAryaM hInArthabalapauruSaiH atyarthaM vA paranaSTAsa te parAptA vApi yamakSayama ॥ 4-29-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयामॊ राजन्न अनुद्विग्ना विराट विषयं वयम आदास्यामॊ हि गास तस्य विविधानि वसूमि च ॥ ४-२९-१९ ॥
'Let us then, O king, march fearlessly to the city of Virata and seize his cattle and wealth of every kind.' ॥ 4-29-19 ॥

yAmò rAjanna anudvignA virATa viSayaM vayama AdAsyAmò hi gAsa tasya vividhAni vasUmi ca ॥ 4-29-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ दुर्यॊधनॊ राजा वाक्यम आदाय तस्य तत वैकर्तनस्य कर्णस्य कषिप्रम आज्ञापयत सवयम ॥ ४-२९-२० ॥
'Then King Duryodhana, having heard those words of Karna, the son of Vikartana, at once issued his commands personally.' ॥ 4-29-20 ॥
