विविधैस तत्परैः सम्यक तज्ज्ञैर निपुण संवृतैः अन्वेष्टव्याश च निपुणं पाण्डवाश छन्नवासिनः ॥ ४-२५-११ ॥
'Let the sons of Pandu, now living in disguise, be diligently sought out by numerous skilled spies—men devoted to their mission, expertly disguised themselves, and thoroughly familiar with the targets of their search.' ॥ 4-25-11 ॥

नदी कुञ्जेषु तीर्थेषु गरामेषु नगरेषु च आश्रमेषु च रम्येषु पर्वतेषु गुहासु च ॥ ४-२५-१२ ॥
'Let the investigation extend far and wide: along riverbanks, in sacred regions, through villages and cities, among the hermitages of ascetics, and even into the charming mountains and hidden mountain caves.' ॥ 4-25-12 ॥

अथाग्रजानन्तरजः पापभावानुरागिणम जयेष्ठं दुःशासनस तत्र भराता भरातरम अब्रवीत ॥ ४-२५-१३ ॥
'Then Duḥśāsana—the younger brother, inclined toward evil— addressed his elder brother in that assembly.' ॥ 4-25-13 ॥

एतच च कर्णॊ यत पराह सर्वम ईक्षामहे तथा यथॊद्दिष्टं चराः सर्वे मृगयन्तु ततस ततः एते चान्ये च भूयांसॊ देशाद देशं यथाविधि ॥ ४-२५-१४ ॥
'O monarch, O lord of men, let only those spies in whom we have full confidence—receiving their rewards in advance—be sent once more in pursuit of the search. All that has been proposed by Karna has our complete approval. Let every spy act strictly according to the instructions already laid down, and let these and many others continue the search from province to province, following the established methods.' ॥ 4-25-14 ॥

न तु तेषां गतिर वासः परवृत्तिश चॊपलभ्यते अत्याहितं वा गूढास ते पारं वॊर्मिमतॊ गताः ॥ ४-२५-१५ ॥
'Yet, for all our efforts, I believe the path the Pandavas have taken, their present dwelling, or even their occupation, will remain undiscovered. Perhaps they are hidden in deep concealment; or perhaps they have crossed to the far side of the ocean.' ॥ 4-25-15 ॥
