उवाच च महातेजा दरौपदीं पाण्डुनन्दनः पश्यैनम एहि पाञ्चालि कामुकॊ ऽयं यथा कृतः ॥ ४-२१-६१ ॥

'Endowed with mighty strength, that hero then addressed Draupadi, the foremost among women, saying, “Come, princess of Panchala, and behold what has become of that lustful wretch!”' ॥ 4-21-61 ॥

english translation

uvAca ca mahAtejA daraupadIM pANDunandanaH pazyainama ehi pAJcAli kAmukò 'yaM yathA kRtaH ॥ 4-21-61 ॥

तथा स कीचकं हत्वा गत्वा रॊषस्य वै शमम आमन्त्र्य दरौपदीं कृष्णां कषिप्रम आयान महानसम ॥ ४-२१-६२ ॥

'And having accomplished that difficult task so highly agreeable to Krishna--having indeed slain Kichaka and thereby pacified his wrath, Bhima bade farewell to Krishna, the daughter of Drupada, and quickly went back to the kitchen.' ॥ 4-21-62 ॥

english translation

tathA sa kIcakaM hatvA gatvA ròSasya vai zamama Amantrya daraupadIM kRSNAM kaSiprama AyAna mahAnasama ॥ 4-21-62 ॥

कीचकं घातयित्वा तु दरौपदी यॊषितां वरा परहृष्टा गतसंतापा सभा पालान उवाच ह ॥ ४-२१-६३ ॥

'And Draupadi, the foremost of women, after having caused Kichaka’s death, was freed from her sorrow and filled with great joy. Addressing the keepers of the dancing hall, she said.' ॥ 4-21-63 ॥

kIcakaM ghAtayitvA tu daraupadI yòSitAM varA parahRSTA gatasaMtApA sabhA pAlAna uvAca ha ॥ 4-21-63 ॥

कीचकॊ ऽयं हतः शेते गन्धर्वैः पतिभिर मम परस्त्री कामसंमत्तः समागच्छत पश्यत ॥ ४-२१-६४ ॥

'Come and behold Kichaka, who, having violated the wives of others, lies here slain by my Gandharva husbands.' ॥ 4-21-64 ॥

kIcakò 'yaM hataH zete gandharvaiH patibhira mama parastrI kAmasaMmattaH samAgacchata pazyata ॥ 4-21-64 ॥

तच छरुत्वा भाषितं तस्या नर्तनागार रक्षिणः सहसैव समाजग्मुर आदायॊकाः सहस्रशः ॥ ४-२१-६५ ॥

'Hearing these words, the guards of the dancing hall quickly gathered by the thousands, torches in hand.' ॥ 4-21-65 ॥
