यस्य सम रथघॊषेण समकम्पत मेदिनी स पर्वत वना भीम सहस्थावरजङ्गमा ।। ४-१८-१७ ।।
'O Bhima, that Arjuna, at whose chariot’s roar the whole earth trembled— with her mountains and forests, her moving and unmoving creatures.' ।। 4-18-17 ।।
यस्मिञ जाते महाभागे कुन्त्याः शॊकॊ वयनश्यत स शॊचयति माम अद्य भीमसेन तवानुजः ।। ४-१८-१८ ।।
'He whose birth once dispelled all of Kunti’s sorrows, that exalted hero, thy younger brother, O Bhimasena— now draws tears from my eyes.' ।। 4-18-18 ।।
'Beholding him approach—adorned with golden earrings and other ornaments, his wrists encircled with bracelets of conch—my heart sinks into despondency.' ।। 4-18-19 ।।
तं वेणी कृतकेशान्तं भीमधन्वानम अर्जुनम कन्या परिवृतं दृष्ट्वा भीम सीदति मे मनः ।। ४-१८-२० ।।
'And Dhananjaya, who has no equal on earth in the art of archery, now spends his days in song, surrounded by women. To see that son of Pritha—renowned throughout the world for his virtue, heroism, and truth— now living in the guise of a woman, fills my heart with sorrow.' ।। 4-18-20 ।।
