[दरौ] न गच्छेयम अहं तस्य राजपुत्रि निवेशनम तवम एव राज्ञि जानासि यथा स निरपत्रपः ॥ ४-१४-११ ॥
'Sairindhri replied: "O princess, I cannot go to Kichaka’s chambers. You yourself know, O queen, how shameless he is."' ॥ 4-14-11 ॥
english translation
न चाहम अनवद्याङ्गि तव वेश्मनि भामिनि कामवृत्ता भविष्यामि पतीनां वयभिचारिणी ॥ ४-१४-१२ ॥
'O lady of faultless limbs, in thy palace, I cannot conduct myself in a wanton manner, nor shall I betray my husbands.' ॥ 4-14-12 ॥
english translation
तवं चैव देवि जानासि यथा स समयः कृतः परविशन्त्या मया पूर्वं तव वेश्मनि भामिनि ॥ ४-१४-१३ ॥
'Thou thyself rememberest, O noble and gentle queen, the conditions I laid down before entering thy service.' ॥ 4-14-13 ॥
english translation
कीचकश च सुकेशान्ते मूढॊ मदनदर्पितः सॊ ऽवमंस्यति मां दृष्ट्वा न यास्ये तत्र शॊभने ॥ ४-१४-१४ ॥
'O thou of beautiful curls, that foolish Kichaka, possessed by the god of desire, will surely insult me the moment he sees me. Therefore, I will not go to his quarters.' ॥ 4-14-14 ॥
english translation
सन्ति बह्व्यस तव परेष्या राजपुत्रि वशानुगाः अन्यां परेषय भद्रं ते स हि माम अवमंस्यते ॥ ४-१४-१५ ॥
'Thou hast many maidservants, O princess, obedient to thy command. Do thou, good betide thee, send one of them instead — for surely, Kichaka will offer me insult.' ॥ 4-14-15 ॥
