[विराट] ददामि यानानि धनं निवेशनं; ममाश्वसूतॊ भवितुं तवम अर्हसि कुतॊ ऽसि कस्यासि कथं तवम आगतः; परब्रूहि शिल्पं तव विद्यते च यत ॥ ४-११-५ ॥
'Virāṭa said: "I shall grant you chariots, wealth, and comfortable quarters. You shall take charge of my horses. But first, tell me—who are you, where do you come from, and how have you arrived here? Also, let me know what skills or arts you have mastered."' ॥ 4-11-5 ॥
