तथा माल्यवतः शृङ्गे दीप्यते तत्र हव्यवाट् । नाम्ना संवर्तको नाम कालाग्निर्भरतर्षभ॥६-८-२६॥
Likewise, on the peak of Mālyavat there blazes a fire; it is called Saṃvartaka, the Time-fire, O best of the Bharatas.

तथा माल्यवतः शृङ्गे पूर्वे पूर्वान्तगण्डिका । योजनानां सहस्राणि पञ्चाशन्माल्यवान्स्थितः॥६-८-२७॥
Likewise, on the eastern side of Mālyavat is what is called Pūrvāntagaṇḍikā; Mālyavat extends for fifty thousand yojanas.

महारजतसंकाशा जायन्ते तत्र मानवाः । ब्रह्मलोकाच्च्युताः सर्वे सर्वे च ब्रह्मवादिनः॥६-८-२८॥
There, human beings are born with the radiance of bright silver; all are said to have descended from the world of Brahmā, and all are exponents of Brahman, the Vedic and metaphysical teaching.

तपस्तु तप्यमानास्ते भवन्ति ह्यूर्ध्वरेतसः । रक्षणार्थं तु भूतानां प्रविशन्ति दिवाकरम्॥६-८-२९॥
Practising austerity (tapas), they become restrained in generative power, steadfast in celibacy; and for the protection of living beings they enter the Sun.

षष्टिस्तानि सहस्राणि षष्टिरेव शतानि च । अरुणस्याग्रतो यान्ति परिवार्य दिवाकरम्॥६-८-३०॥
Sixty thousand and sixty hundreds—sixty-six thousand—proceed in front of Aruṇa, surrounding the Sun.
