The immobile beings are said to be those that sprout from the earth; of these there are five classes: trees, shrubs, creepers, climbers, plants with bark or pith, and the various kinds of grasses.

english translation

Among these, within the five great elements, nineteen are indicated; and the Gāyatrī—acknowledged by common tradition—is taught as consisting of twenty-four (units/syllables).

english translation

O best of the Bharatas, one who truly knows this Gāyatrī—meritorious and endowed with all excellences—does not fall away from the worlds (does not lose auspicious standing).

english translation

Indeed, everything arises on the earth, and on the earth everything comes to dissolution. Earth is the foundation of beings; earth alone is their ultimate resort.
