The celestial weapons of Bhīṣma and of great-souled Droṇa, when unleashed again and again, will overwhelm all the kṣatriyas.

english translation

O Kṛṣṇa, Bhīṣma—fiercely enraged and supported by all the kings—will surely wear us down, such is the measure of his prowess.

english translation

Therefore, O lord of yogins, look to that great archer, the foremost mahāratha, who could restrain Bhīṣma in battle, as a rain-cloud subdues a forest fire.

english translation

By your grace, O Govinda, the Pāṇḍavas—having subdued their foes—will regain their rightful sovereignty and rejoice together with their kinsmen.

english translation

Having spoken thus, Pārtha sat in contemplation; the high-minded one remained inwardly withdrawn for a long time, his awareness clouded by grief.
